An AEO strategy is a plan for getting your brand named in AI answers for the questions that lead to sales. It usually has four parts.
First, a fixed set of prompts your buyers actually ask, from basic definitions to "best provider for" comparisons. Second, a baseline: run those prompts across the engines that matter and record who is mentioned and which sources are cited. Third, the fixes: pages that answer each question directly, accurate and consistent business facts, original data others want to reference, and coverage on the third-party sites the engines keep citing. Fourth, measurement: repeat the same prompts on a schedule and track what moves.
Software companies were among the first to build this out, because their buyers research heavily in AI tools. See the AEO agencies ranked for SaaS.
